My camera is one of my favorite things. Photo and video has fascinated me as long as I can remember. Documenting life is literally one of the coolest blessings, because it allows me to remember certain events, people, and emotions much better than my lil brain can. Photography is a wonderful hobby but an even greater privilege; it helps me to not take life for granted.
I've had a photoblog for awhile now on a different blog, but it was always private. The reason for this is because I wanted a place to be able to upload all my photos, but I didn't want to have to worry about an audience.
I used to put my photos up on facebook but stopped a good while back because I guess it just felt cheap. I still put up a few images here and there, but I didn't like the idea of putting up my personal collection of pictures on the facebook just so it can appear on someone's news feed where they can mindlessly and hastily click through them. Facebook also eats the quality of photos, which isn't cool.
So, this blog was born. I have constructed my blog to showcase the photos exactly how I think they should be. And because you have to intentionally come to this website in order to view them, I feel it gives them the value they deserve. It's not about the photos themselves.. it's just about the moments that were captured. They are special.
But anyways, enjoy the blog :) if you end up taking pictures from here and putting them up somewhere on the internet, it'd be great if you could link back to here or attach photo credit somewhere, but it's not necessary. I'm not gonna be photo police or anything heh. Thanks!
